Star Wars, the Expanded Universe and Happily Ever After.

Ahhhh…Star Wars.  It’s all starting to build up again, isn’t it?  The excitement, the buzz…can you feel it?  The little pieces popping up here and there that are only the beginning of the overall mosaic that won’t be completed until your peepers glaze over when that all too familiar 20th Century Fox sound and logo Disney logo appears on the giant screen mere feet in front of you on Dec 18th 2015.

Still, though…not much has been said in regards to what the new movies will be about.  But with Disney/Lucasfilm’s recent announcement that it’ll be an original story, not based on anything from the Expanded Universe (the EU…not to be confused with the European Union), your friendly neighborhood jman’s still left wondering…what is there really left to tell.

Disney World Ain’t for Kids Pt.6

Disclaimer:  I have a feeling I’m gonna take a lot of shit for this piece.  Probably lose my lucrative Disney sponsorship, in the process.  But, what the hell, right?!?!?  YOLO!  We’re just having a lil fun here.  I love WDW probably more than most of you.  I’ve taken my kids there several times (Sarah being there the most…at least 5 times). So, make sure your sense of humor is firmly in place before moving any further…

Let me start off by apologizing to you about part 5, which was really suppose to be this post. Your friendly neighborhood jman got hold of some tangent and Whoosh! The next thing I know, we’re talking about zombies. As tempted as I am to re-hash the whole thing, it’s best we just leave it alone. Let’s just pretend that part 5 never happened.

If you’re feeling all uppity, you can pick up where we last left off with Disney World Ain’t for Kids PT4.

Man!  Can’t believe it’s been over 5 weeks since the last time I updated this series.  Talk about bringin’ one back from the dead. Sheesh. The last time I worked on this series, the world was a significantly different place. Barack Obama was president. The US was knee deep in recession recovery. The country was divided. Oh, wait. Maybe it wasn’t that long ago. Still…if this series was a dead body, we’d have some serious decomposition. I mean, there probably wouldn’t be all that much left besides skeleton. All the soft, gooey stuff would’ve been devoured by insects long ago.

Food Week! Oh, Oh, Oh! Ice Cold Milk and an…

Over the last few months, Nabisco has been putting out some fairly funky flavors of Oreo cookies.  And since it’s been awhile since I’ve addressed the state of all things Oreo (Completely Random Photo Of The Immediate Future, Don’t Listen To Me: Triple Double Redux and Review: Triple Double), what better way to waste your time and valuable internet space than with an Oreo post for the last day of Food Week!

Truth be told, this post has been in the works for some time now.  It started a long, long time ago.  Way back in the early months of 2012.  For it’s 100th birthday celebration, the National Biscuit Company (that’s Nabisco to all you layman out there), released a special edition birthday cake flavored Oreo.”Nice! ” I thought to myself (who else would I think to?  You?)  when I saw them at the store.  “I’ll get them the next time I’m out.”  Well, how stupid of your friendly neighborhood jman to think that to hisself.  ‘Cause no sooner did I have that thought, then those sumbitches disappeared off the shelves.
